Product Overview

Custom silicone bellows for food-related equipment need their folded geometry considered alongside cleaning and material selection. The dimensions, hardness, and color can be adapted to the assembly, while the silicone formulation should suit the intended food contact and operating conditions. The folds must accommodate the required movement without becoming inaccessible pockets in the equipment layout.

Define the shortest and longest working positions and the space around them. At compression, neighboring folds approach one another; at extension, different surfaces become exposed. The installation should allow the intended cleaning process to reach the relevant areas without requiring the bellows to be stretched beyond its designed movement.

End connections deserve equal attention. Their fit and retention should match the adjacent components, and the transition into the flexible body should remain clear of sharp edges. If the bellows carries a medium, establish the system conditions and material compatibility for that service rather than relying on the general component name.

Inspect the part after installation through its full intended motion. During care, remove residue from the valleys and connection areas using the equipment's approved method. Check the fold roots for tears or persistent deformation before returning the assembly to operation. A replacement should match both the movement envelope and the food-contact material requirements of the original design.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. At compression, neighboring folds approach one another; at extension, different surfaces become exposed.
Custom geometry
Define the shortest and longest working positions and the space around them.
Fit evaluation
Inspect the part after installation through its full intended motion.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
