Custom rubber gaskets close gaps between mating surfaces by compressing within the joint. For an assembly exposed to an alkaline substance, the compound needs to be selected for that particular chemical environment. The gasket outline, thickness, and hardness can then be developed around the available sealing faces and the way the joint is fastened.
Chemical concentration and temperature are important parts of the selection, along with whether contact is occasional or continuous. A material that suits one cleaning solution cannot automatically be used with another alkaline mixture. Consider the cleaning cycle as well as the normal process medium when defining the service conditions.
The gasket should have a supported sealing area with enough compression to make contact across the joint. Uneven faces or poorly distributed fastening force can leave a leak path regardless of compound choice. Clean the surfaces before assembly and tighten the joint according to its design. During maintenance, inspect the gasket for swelling, cracking, or displacement and address any damaged mating surface before fitting a replacement.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
