Product Overview

An antislip rubber pad places a rubber contact layer on a selected surface, with a 3M adhesive backing to locate the pad. The rubber provides the exposed contact face, while the adhesive fixes the pad in position. ETOL offers customized dimensions, colors and materials for the assembly.

Begin with the surface receiving the adhesive. Its finish, cleanliness and shape determine whether the full backing can make contact. A pad bridging a recess or a raised seam may have unsupported edges even though its center feels attached. Lay out the intended position before removing the liner, allowing clearance around screws, vents and moving parts.

Select the 3M adhesive grade for the substrate and conditions, including heat or cleaning exposure, and apply the backing under the conditions appropriate to that adhesive system. Rubber hardness and thickness should suit the required contact without making the pad easy to catch at its edge.

After fitting, examine the perimeter for lifting before placing the item into routine use. Keep grit off the exposed rubber and assess traction on the actual mating surface. Replacing a pad should include removal of old adhesive residue so the next backing rests on a sound, even foundation.

Material options
Custom silicone or rubber formulation, with dimensions and color adapted to the mating component.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Compare firmness under load at the intended contact face. Lay out the intended position before removing the liner, allowing clearance around screws, vents and moving parts.
Custom profile & fit
Rubber hardness and thickness should suit the required contact without making the pad easy to catch at its edge.
Assembly considerations
The rubber provides the exposed contact face, while the adhesive fixes the pad in position.
Design check
Select the 3M adhesive grade for the substrate and conditions, including heat or cleaning exposure, and apply the backing under the conditions appropriate to that adhesive system.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
