An auto rubber grommet covers the edge where a cable crosses a compatible vehicle panel. The part should be inspected whenever work near that crossing moves the harness or disturbs the opening. A flange displaced during servicing can leave the jacket against the panel even though most of the rubber still appears in place.
Check the cutout condition before refitting. Paint buildup, a bent edge or debris can change the groove fit. Return the harness to its intended route so the grommet is not used to hold it against an incorrect approach angle.
ETOL can customize the profile and material for the mounting location. The selected compound needs to suit the exposure there; matching the old part's outline alone is not a complete replacement specification.
Once seated, inspect the flange around the full perimeter and check the less visible side with the panel accessible. Make sure any nearby clip supports the harness as intended. During the final movement check, watch for the grommet being drawn sideways as other components are repositioned. Address that strain before closing the area, and replace rubber that has been cut or permanently distorted during removal.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The part should be inspected whenever work near that crossing moves the harness or disturbs the opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
