Product Overview

A big size suction cup needs a suitable surface across its whole footprint. A larger diameter can span a shallow curve or irregular region that a smaller cup would not encounter, making surface flatness and support important to selection. The silicone or rubber profile should be assessed against that actual contact area before a working load is assigned to the completed arrangement.

Check the mounting structure as well as the cup. If the support bends under load, it can change the rim contact or tilt the attachment even though the cup was initially seated evenly. The distance of the load from the surface and its direction of movement should be included in the assessment.

For installation, keep the rim clean and allow it to settle without trapping a fold. Verify clearance around the cup body so neighboring hardware cannot restrict its intended deformation. Where vacuum equipment is involved, use its actual operating and release conditions during evaluation.

Inspect the full circumference during maintenance rather than only the most visible section. A local cut, permanent distortion, or repeated contact with a surface seam can affect the attachment. Release the cup appropriately before moving the assembly. A large footprint should not be used as a reason to ignore surface condition, mounting alignment, or the load path through the attached component.

Material options
Custom silicone or rubber formulation; select the compound alongside the mating geometry.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; solid rubber: 30–90 Shore A. If the support bends under load, it can change the rim contact or tilt the attachment even though the cup was initially seated evenly.
Custom geometry
A larger diameter can span a shallow curve or irregular region that a smaller cup would not encounter, making surface flatness and support important to selection.
Fit evaluation
Verify clearance around the cup body so neighboring hardware cannot restrict its intended deformation.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings outside the suction contact face.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
