A blind oval rubber grommet fills an elongated opening without a center hole. Size, material and color are customizable.
Before fitting, inspect the space behind the opening. A screw tip, bracket corner or cable tie tail that touches the rear of the blind center can damage it even when the front looks undisturbed. Allow the closure to occupy its intended depth without using the membrane to push an obstruction out of the way.
The oval outline also needs the correct orientation and perimeter fit. Compare the end curves with the cutout and ensure that the long sides engage continuously. Do not use a front flange overlap as the sole indication that the mounting dimensions are correct.
When servicing the panel, release the retaining edge carefully instead of puncturing the center to gain a grip. Examine both faces before reuse. A shallow mark on the rear surface may reveal repeated contact with a hidden component and should be investigated before the closure is installed again.
