A Rubber Oval Grommet is a shaped liner for an elongated panel hole. The dimension table on this page offers a family of profiles, allowing the mounting outline and groove width to be considered before the final cable clearance is chosen. That sequence helps avoid selecting a part solely because its open center looks large enough.
First establish the panel hole's short and long dimensions. Then match the wall thickness to the groove width. Finally, compare the listed inside opening with the intended cable route. The outside dimensions provide a further check on flange clearance around adjacent features.
For example, the 15 by 37.5 mm groove profile has a 19 by 41.5 mm exterior and a 12 by 34.5 mm interior. Its dimensions are not interchangeable with the 15 by 30 mm profile even though both share the same nominal short groove axis. The table also includes larger families for wider openings.
When comparing options, keep each complete row together rather than combining dimensions from different versions. Trial the selected part in a representative panel and verify that the rubber remains in its groove as the cable is moved into position. Any persistent rocking suggests the mounting relationship needs another look.
