A Rubber sleeved grommet extends outward from the panel to guide a cable as it leaves the opening. This arrangement is useful when the vulnerable point is the first bend beyond the cutout rather than the cutout edge alone. The sleeve should follow that transition without forcing the wiring into a smaller bend than its construction permits.
The product can be customized in profile, material, dimensions, color and hardness. Start with the desired cable direction and the space available on the exit side. Then choose the panel-engaging section so its grip is not compromised by the length of the sleeve.
During a trial fit, move the cable through the positions it will encounter during assembly and servicing. Watch the point where the sleeve meets the flange. If that junction folds sharply or pulls the flange away from the panel, the cable needs a different route or support position.
Keep ties off the sleeve to prevent collapse. Recheck its seat after securing the wiring.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Then choose the panel-engaging section so its grip is not compromised by the length of the sleeve. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
