Match the attachment and installation method
A ceiling rubber grommet covers the edge of a cable opening while providing a flexible transition through the panel. For an overhead installation, gravity and the weight of the cable route can make seating harder to assess, so the wire should be supported independently while the grommet is fitted.
Match the mounting section to the actual ceiling panel or fitting. A layered finish may produce a thicker opening than the underlying material suggests. Remove loose fragments at the edge and ensure that the rubber has a sound surface to engage on both sides.
ETOL offers customized profiles, dimensions, compounds, colors and hardness. Where moisture exclusion is part of the design, evaluate the contact around the cable and the panel together. Check the finished entry under its required moisture exposure, including the cable position and any movement expected during maintenance.
Before concealing the back of the opening, check that the flange has not rolled inward. Leave enough cable movement for maintenance without using the grommet as the weight-bearing support. A cleanly seated entry should remain in place when the cable is gently repositioned during ordinary access.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Where moisture exclusion is part of the design, evaluate the contact around the cable and the panel together. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
