A neoprene rubber shock grommet should be developed for the particular opening and contact arrangement where it is installed. A firewall-related application needs the selected material and complete interface evaluated against the equipment's requirements; the location name does not establish a fire barrier or electrical rating for the component.
Define the retained section, passage and available movement around the routed item. Select the compound for the local temperature, fluids and service conditions. Any cushioning or vibration-related function depends on the full support arrangement rather than the presence of a rubber ring alone.
Fit the grommet evenly and inspect the entry after the cable or other component is secured in its final position. Keep the designated supports responsible for routing loads. During maintenance, preserve the specified material and geometry when replacing the part. If wear occurs at one edge, examine the opening and movement path before simply installing a harder or softer grommet at the same location.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Any cushioning or vibration-related function depends on the full support arrangement rather than the presence of a rubber ring alone. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
