Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Colored silicone sealing plugs close custom openings with a molded body selected for the receiving geometry. Color can help identify the closure or distinguish neighboring versions, while the body and stopping surface establish the actual fit. The visible head should leave a clear indication of correct seating.
For water exposed use, consider where water reaches the opening and whether dirt can collect around the plug. The mating surface needs to remain clean and intact for the intended contact. A bright head may make the closure easy to locate, but it should not hide a folded section or incomplete insertion beneath it.
Select the silicone formulation for the actual exposure and cleaning conditions. Evaluate the installed closure with its surrounding component rather than assigning a general water resistance level from the rubber material. During maintenance, clean the contact region before refitting and inspect for damage caused by removal. Keep the color linked to the correct dimensions and formulation so that replacing a plug restores the intended sealing configuration as well as its appearance.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A bright head may make the closure easy to locate, but it should not hide a folded section or incomplete insertion beneath it. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
