Custom blue silicone sealing plugs close openings with a molded part that is easy to identify by color. The visible head can distinguish the closure from the surrounding equipment, while the body is dimensioned for the actual opening. The blue appearance should remain associated with the intended material and profile.
During dust exposed use, the exposed head may collect particles before the opening needs to be accessed. Clean the surrounding area before removal so that contamination is not carried inside. Keep the removed plug on a suitable clean surface and inspect the insertion section before refitting. A clean top does not necessarily show the condition of the body beneath it.
Select the silicone formulation for the actual contact and temperature conditions. Establish a usable gripping area and avoid removing the part by pulling a thin working edge. The plug should return to its designed seat without a fold or trapped particle. Where a defined sealing requirement goes beyond dust covering, assess the complete fitted interface under the intended exposure rather than relying on the color or general silicone material description.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The visible head can distinguish the closure from the surrounding equipment, while the body is dimensioned for the actual opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
