Rubber prototype keypads can be used to assess how a proposed color arrangement works with the key layout. Colors may distinguish command groups, but they should be evaluated with the actual legends, spacing and panel orientation. A bright digital preview does not establish readability on the finished molded buttons.
The prototype also needs representative mechanical support. Locating features, switch positions and housing clearance should reflect the intended design so color and shape decisions are considered alongside actual use. A change in key size can affect both visual grouping and the way an edge press moves the flexible section.
Evaluate the assembly under the expected viewing and handling conditions. Prototype appearance and feel do not independently establish production performance or operating life. Keep the sheet and contacts undamaged during repeated fitting, and inspect seating before comparing changes. Record the selected geometry and color configuration consistently so the final design follows the evaluated arrangement rather than a visually similar version with altered key spacing or support.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A change in key size can affect both visual grouping and the way an edge press moves the flexible section. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
