Product Overview

An NBR rubber buffer provides a custom compliant contact element in industrial equipment. Compression molding allows the shape to be developed around the available retaining space and the working face. The buffer should suit the contact it receives, including the approach direction and the final position of the adjoining component.

Review how much of the face is engaged at the start of contact. If a narrow edge reaches the rubber first, the local deformation can differ from a broad, even approach. The chosen shape should keep the useful contact within the intended area without allowing the component to slip past. Surrounding metalwork needs clearance from the flexible region.

NBR material selection should account for the actual substances and temperatures at the location. Do not substitute a different compound solely because its color and dimensions look similar. During service, inspect the retaining seat and the contact marks together. A buffer that wears repeatedly on one side may be revealing an alignment issue in the adjoining equipment rather than a simple replacement need.

Material options
NBR compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. Surrounding metalwork needs clearance from the flexible region.
Custom geometry
Do not substitute a different compound solely because its color and dimensions look similar.
Fit evaluation
Review how much of the face is engaged at the start of contact.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; part identification clear of mounting seats and loaded faces.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
