Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber seal o-ring in an NBR or SBR specification should be selected around the actual joint and its service environment. Matching the diameter is only one part of replacement. The compound also influences how the ring responds to the contacting medium, temperature, and compression, so visually similar rings should remain identified by their intended specification.
Compare the section with the groove and the gap after assembly. A ring that is too large in section can resist closure or become pinched, while an undersized section may not establish the intended contact. Washer formats need their own face dimensions and should be treated as a different sealing geometry.
Keep the fitting route smooth and free of dirt. Introduce the ring without twisting it, and protect it from thread crests or shoulders that can cut the surface. When removing a used seal, note where damage occurred and inspect the corresponding mating feature. Correcting a sharp edge or an uneven closing condition is more useful than repeatedly replacing a damaged ring without addressing its cause.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A ring that is too large in section can resist closure or become pinched, while an undersized section may not establish the intended contact. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
