Conductive silicone keypads rely on both contact during a press and separation after release. The molded key geometry and supporting web must allow that return movement within the assembled enclosure. A contact that registers reliably during pressing can still leave an input active if the housing keeps the key partly depressed.
Check the rest gap, board position and clearance around each moving wall. Locating features should hold the sheet without pulling it sideways across the circuit pattern. The elastic response of a loose key does not establish a particular actuation force or service life in the finished device.
Evaluate individual keys through complete press-and-release cycles, including off-center operation where relevant. During maintenance, remove residue around the housing openings without contaminating the underside contact areas. If a key becomes slow to return after reassembly, inspect for a pinched edge or altered board spacing. Replacing the material with a harder formulation should not be used as a substitute for correcting an unintended mechanical obstruction.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
