Anti-vibration rubber mounts used as equipment feet need to return to their intended support arrangement after the equipment is moved. Sliding or dragging can displace a foot or stress its attachment without leaving an obvious mark on the visible side. The installed position should therefore be checked after relocation.
The required dimensions, compound and number of supports depend on the complete equipment layout. Each mount should have appropriate contact with the base and the supporting surface, with clearance for the intended rubber deformation. No specific vibration reduction is established by the generic foot shape.
Use the movement and handling method appropriate to the equipment so the feet are not pulled sideways unnecessarily. Once positioned, check for rocking and inspect all accessible attachment points. During service, compare the loaded profiles and look for a mount leaning away from its seat. Restore the intended geometry rather than adding an extra pad below a displaced foot, which can conceal the original issue while changing the support height.
