Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Small sizes of rubber dampers and bumpers need an intentional first contact point within the mechanism. The rubber should meet the opposing surface at its designed position, leaving enough deformation space afterward. A compact component can be overloaded locally if a rigid corner strikes it before the main contact face arrives.
Custom shape, dimensions, material and color allow the part to follow the assembly. Define the approach direction, mounting depth and final travel limit. The fastening or retaining feature should keep the bumper aligned without squeezing away its working height during installation.
Evaluate representative movement on the completed mechanism. Check for an edge strike, a bumper that leans or rigid contact occurring before the rubber can work as intended. During inspection, compare the visible compression mark with the developed contact area. A narrow imprint can identify alignment that needs correction. Keep the mounting seat clean and inspect for damage when replacing the part. Increasing hardness alone may change the contact feel without resolving where the force first reaches the bumper.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A compact component can be overloaded locally if a rigid corner strikes it before the main contact face arrives. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
