Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber bumper with screw mounting provides a defined attachment for a cushioning stop or support. The thread locates the part, but the mating surface should contact the rubber in the intended direction. An offset strike can bend or twist the assembly instead of using the available compression of the bumper.
Review the contact position together with the screw axis. Check the gap before contact and the clearance around the rubber as it deforms. The screw length and mating engagement must secure the part without leaving it perched against an unintended shoulder.
ETOL offers custom structure, dimensions and compound options. Select the profile for the actual contact event, including whether the load is sustained or occurs briefly when a moving component reaches its stop. The general damper description does not establish a quantified impact capacity.
During evaluation, inspect the contact face for an uneven imprint and check whether the bumper rotates after repeated operation. Secure the hardware according to the assembly specification without twisting the rubber body to compensate for a poorly aligned mating surface. Examine both the attachment region and cushioning face during maintenance, since looseness at the screw can change the contact position even while the rubber remains intact.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The thread locates the part, but the mating surface should contact the rubber in the intended direction. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
