Custom neoprene cable grommets can provide a rubber interface where wiring passes through a vehicle opening. Match the retaining profile to the hole and panel thickness, then size the passage around the intended cable route. The cable's direction after passing through the panel influences how the grommet remains seated.
Check the route with nearby clips and connectors installed. A short bend or misplaced support can pull the cable against one side of the rubber continuously. The grommet should protect the edge interface without being used to compensate for an unsuitable routing arrangement.
Select the finished Neoprene compound for the local fluids, temperature and cleaning exposure. Remove burrs before fitting and inspect the complete locating perimeter after the wire is routed. During maintenance, look for a lifted lip or wear concentrated where the cable turns. Correct the route or support if needed before replacing the grommet, so the new component is not immediately pulled into the same damaged position.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable's direction after passing through the panel influences how the grommet remains seated. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
