Rubber flat grommets for cable entries provide a molded edge interface where installation space is limited. The custom profile can match the vehicle panel and the cable passage while remaining relatively low around the opening. Clearance should be checked with nearby trim and equipment fitted.
The visible flat face is only part of the shape. The retaining area behind it needs room to engage the wall, and the cable needs space to leave the passage without a sharp bend. Measure the finished panel thickness and opening rather than selecting solely by the external face dimensions.
Remove burrs before fitting and inspect for trapped or folded rubber around the perimeter. Route and support the cable in its normal position, then check the grommet again for sideways distortion. Select the silicone compound for the actual temperature and substances at the vehicle location. During servicing, recheck the entry after trim removal or harness movement, since these operations can disturb a low-profile insert without making the change immediately obvious from the front.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Clearance should be checked with nearby trim and equipment fitted. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
