Closed rubber flat grommets provide a custom rubber closure with a relatively flat form. Their outline and thickness can be adapted to the receiving surface, allowing an unused opening to be covered without an unnecessarily deep projection. The supporting area around the opening is an important part of the design.
Check how the rubber is retained and how much of the flat face remains unsupported. The component should seat without bowing or being pushed against nearby internal parts. If a washer-style interface is needed around a cable, select the corresponding center geometry rather than treating a closed blanking part as an interchangeable washer.
Fit the grommet to a clean, smooth surface and keep the closed center intact for its intended role. Inspect for folded edges or uneven compression after installation. The final arrangement should leave enough clearance for any adjacent wiring and fasteners. During servicing, remove the part carefully if access is needed, and check the seating surface before reusing it so a cut or deformation does not compromise the fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. If a washer-style interface is needed around a cable, select the corresponding center geometry rather than treating a closed blanking part as an interchangeable washer. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
