Match the attachment and installation method
A cable sealing grommet should match the panel opening and cable while using a material selected for the equipment's required conditions. Where flame performance is part of the design, the silicone formulation and installed construction need to be specified and evaluated accordingly. A general fire-retardant description does not identify a flame class for every version.
Develop the retained groove and passage around the finished assembly. Include the cable jacket, panel finish and nearby heat-producing components when assessing the interface. Any sealing requirement should also be checked with the cable supported in its final route.
During fitting, keep the entry clear of sharp edges and inspect for a folded lip after routing the cable. Do not substitute another rubber solely because the geometry appears to match. During maintenance, preserve the designated material configuration and inspect for cuts, changes in section or displacement. If the cable route or surrounding equipment changes, review the entry conditions before assuming that the existing grommet remains the correct choice.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Any sealing requirement should also be checked with the cable supported in its final route. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
