A silicone rubber Wire Grommet for Cable Seal has two important contact regions: its outside engages the opening, and its bore meets the cable. The selected geometry must suit both. Tight contact on the cable cannot compensate for an outer flange that sits unevenly against the panel.
ETOL customizes this component's dimensions, structure, material, hardness and color. For a sealing-oriented design, include the finished cable jacket shape and the actual panel surface in the fit assessment. Seams, labels or an uneven bundle can interrupt contact even when a nominal diameter looks correct.
Place the grommet without twisting it, then route the cable so it remains centered. A sideways pull can open a gap on the opposite side of the bore. Locate cable supports to preserve the intended position after the enclosure is assembled.
The product name does not specify a water-pressure capability or ingress classification. Evaluate any required sealing duty on the completed assembly under its actual conditions. During later maintenance, check that the rubber has returned to its seat after a cable is moved and remove debris before closing the entry again.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Tight contact on the cable cannot compensate for an outer flange that sits unevenly against the panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
