A long auto wire harness grommet can provide an extended flexible passage beyond the panel entry. Its molded geometry should follow the harness route and the space available in the vehicle assembly. The retained panel section and longer body need to be developed together.
Check the path of the harness on both sides of the opening. Extra length is useful only if it can sit without bunching against nearby parts or forcing the cable into an unwanted direction. The passage should accommodate the actual harness size, including its outer covering at that position.
Seat the panel section fully before securing the final route. Inspect the extended region through any movement expected during assembly or servicing and check for rubbing against brackets. Use the harness supports required by the vehicle design so that the grommet does not carry excessive pull. During maintenance, examine the transition from the retained section into the long body for wear or deformation. Preserve the original length and passage geometry when replacing the component.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
