Product Overview
A clear silicone washer provides an annular flexible contact with a translucent appearance. Where the assembled geometry leaves it visible, that appearance can make trapped debris or an uneven edge easier to notice. It does not replace checking the actual seating area and compression of the joint.
Match the ring's inner opening, outside diameter, and thickness to the mating components. The washer should lie flat without being stretched over an incompatible feature or partly supported on a sharp edge. Consider how the joint closes so that the contact remains reasonably even around the ring rather than concentrated near one fixing.
For food-related applications, suitability depends on the chosen formulation and the actual contents and cleaning conditions. Clear silicone is not a universal approval for every such use. Assess the assembled joint for its required sealing behavior and inspect the washer after removal for damage or lasting distortion. Keep the contact surfaces clean during reuse, since particles beneath a clear ring can be visible while still being overlooked if only the outside face is examined.
