Product Overview

A rubber shock absorber buffer is placed where a defined moving part needs a resilient landing surface. Custom geometry allows its mounting footprint and contact height to suit the actual stop position. The thickness should be chosen around that contact relationship rather than added simply to reduce the remaining gap.

Check when the moving component first touches the buffer and what clearance remains to other structures. If another edge contacts first, the rubber may not perform the intended role. If the buffer is too tall, it can change the normal resting position or prevent another component from engaging.

The mounting seat must hold the part against the expected force, with room for its intended deformation. Material selection follows the local temperature, contacting substances, and mechanical duty.
