A protective cable sleeve surrounds a lead along a defined part of its route. Custom NBR, SBR and other material versions can be selected for the local conditions, with dimensions and color adjusted to the assembly. The sleeve's working environment includes all of the surfaces and substances that contact its length.
Inspect the route from entry to exit. One end may sit inside a dry enclosure while another is exposed to cleaning fluid or nearby heat. The selected compound should suit that combination rather than be chosen only for the most visible section.
Check the cable fit and external clearance together. A sleeve should not be forced against a bracket to compensate for a route that is too short or offset. During threading, keep sharp terminals away from the inner wall and verify that neither end has rolled. Any electrical insulation function must be evaluated with the cable and equipment specification. During maintenance, inspect hidden portions for rubbing and restore the intended supports. Matching a replacement's bore alone can overlook a change in the protective length or wall section.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The selected compound should suit that combination rather than be chosen only for the most visible section. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
