A nitrile rubber cable grommet creates a fitted rubber interface around a cable passing through an opening. Its custom profile can be adapted to the panel and cable dimensions, helping separate the jacket from the exposed edge. The black finish suits assemblies where the entry should blend with dark wiring or housing components.
Select the nitrile compound for the substances and temperatures present at the installation point. The name of the material does not define compatibility with every oil, cleaner, or other fluid. Consider incidental contact during maintenance as well as normal operating exposure when choosing the finished part.
The cable passage and retaining groove need to fit independently: a correct bore cannot compensate for a groove that is too wide for the panel. Check the cable route after seating the insert, leaving enough slack to avoid pulling it sideways. Clean away grit from the entry during service and inspect the rubber where it contacts the panel. A cut or displaced section can leave the cable jacket exposed to the edge.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable passage and retaining groove need to fit independently: a correct bore cannot compensate for a groove that is too wide for the panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
