Match the attachment and installation method
Laptop rubber feet provide custom contact points beneath the device housing. Their profile should match the receiving recess or mounting area and preserve the intended clearance from the desk. A replacement needs the correct installed height rather than only a similar visible footprint.
Check the underside for ventilation openings, screws, and removable panels. Feet should not obstruct these features or change the way the base sits when the screen is opened. The compound and any attachment material need to suit the actual temperature at the laptop base.
Fit the feet onto clean mounting areas using the intended retention method. Inspect the device on a level surface and check for rocking during normal use. Keep the contact faces free of residue and inspect the attachment after transport. Chair-foot applications require a separate matching geometry and load arrangement; a heat-resistant description does not make a laptop foot interchangeable with a furniture support. Replace missing or damaged feet with the correct height and construction so the original base clearance remains intact.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
