Custom anti vibration rubber dampers can be arranged to suit the support points of a particular assembly. Their function depends on how the operating motion reaches the rubber and how the load is distributed among the supports. Size and compound choices therefore belong to the assembly design, not just the available mounting space.
Start with the movement that needs to be accommodated. Vertical compression, sideways displacement, and rocking do not load a rubber body in the same way. A damper suitable for one direction should not be assumed to work identically in another. The selected shape needs support at its attachment areas and clearance around the portions expected to move.
For a group of dampers, consider the center of mass and the positions of the supports. Equal spacing does not always mean equal loading. Check the installed heights with the equipment in its normal operating configuration, including attached components that add weight.
Assess the complete arrangement through the relevant operating cycle rather than judging it only while stationary. Inspect for uneven deformation or contact with nearby structures after initial use. A changed stance can indicate an installation problem or a damaged support that deserves attention before further adjustment.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The selected shape needs support at its attachment areas and clearance around the portions expected to move. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
