A wire harness rubber bushing and grommet provides a flexible interface where a bundle passes through a support. Its custom geometry should suit the finished harness and the length of contact within the opening. The rubber protects the transition, while nearby harness supports establish the route and carry the appropriate load.
Inspect the bundle after wrapping and branching are complete. Local thickness can differ from the loose-wire measurement, and a support positioned too close can pull the harness to one side of the bore. Leave the protected crossing naturally aligned rather than making the rubber restrain an offset bundle.
Match the outer fit to the panel or support thickness and allow room for the retaining features. During threading, keep connector edges from dragging along the inner wall. Check the part again after the harness clips and connections are secured. During later modifications, review the passage if additional wires change the bundle profile. A new bushing should preserve the original supported length and locating surfaces so it protects the same region instead of moving the contact to an unprotected edge.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The custom geometry should suit the finished harness and the length of contact within the opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
