Custom rubber o-ring seals can be made using EPDM, NBR, CR or silicone formulations selected for the application. The relevant medium, temperature and exposure duration should guide that selection. Rings with the same dimensions can require different materials at different positions in one product.
Define the relaxed ring diameter and section alongside the receiving groove. The groove must support the intended compression and leave appropriate working space. Custom color options can assist identification, but the assigned formulation should remain clear independently of appearance.
Evaluate the chosen seal in the complete joint under representative conditions. Avoid twisting or rolling the ring during installation, and inspect the groove for particles or sharp edges first. During maintenance, check for changes in size, surface condition or contact marks after exposure. If the medium or cleaning process changes, reassess the compound and installed fit together. A nearby nominal size or visually identical material should not be substituted solely because it can be stretched into the same groove.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The groove must support the intended compression and leave appropriate working space. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
