Product Overview

Custom rubber coated metal parts combine a metal element with a molded rubber region. The hardware can establish attachment or support, while the rubber provides the defined contact surface required by the application. The exposed metal features and covered areas should be planned as one component.

Identify which surfaces must remain available for fastening, locating, or mating with other hardware. Rubber thickness near those areas can affect assembly clearance, and a tool should not bear on the molded surface unless that is part of the intended fitting method. The metal geometry should also support the rubber where operational forces enter the component.

Select the compound for the actual exposure and the working contact. Evaluate the complete part under the intended loading direction, including any tendency to pull the rubber away from the hardware. Its dimensions and attachment details do not establish a universal load or bond strength. During service, inspect the transitions between rubber and metal for damage or separation. Replacement should preserve the hardware interface and molded profile together so the new part locates and works as intended.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. The hardware can establish attachment or support, while the rubber provides the defined contact surface required by the application.

Rubber thickness near those areas can affect assembly clearance, and a tool should not bear on the molded surface unless that is part of the intended fitting method.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the complete part under the intended loading direction, including any tendency to pull the rubber away from the hardware.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings clear of the working interface.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
