A rubber sealing ring gasket should be measured in its relaxed state when developing a replacement or custom version. An old ring removed from a joint may be stretched, flattened or permanently altered by use. Copying that condition can produce a new gasket that does not match the original seating geometry.
Use the receiving groove or sealing land to establish the relevant inner dimension, outer dimension and section thickness. This silicone version can be customized for the joint and selected exposure conditions. Consider how the ring is held before the mating component closes, particularly where gravity can pull it away from a vertical seat.
Install without twisting the ring or concentrating stretch in one area. After closing the joint, inspect for any section that has escaped the intended contact region. During later disassembly, note uneven marks that may reveal where the gasket was unsupported. Keep spare rings stored without tension and away from sharp objects. Their relaxed shape should remain easy to compare with the required geometry when the next assembly is prepared.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
