A rubber seal O-ring should sit in a groove that controls its compression and supports it under the actual pressure direction. Its round section needs a different space from a flat washer, so the selected format should follow the joint design. Water resistance is assessed at the complete connection with the actual mating surfaces and exposure.
Choose the ring dimensions and compound around the operating medium, temperature, and movement. Check the installation route for threads or sharp steps that may damage the surface before the ring reaches its seat. Keep the section from being overstretched to fit an approximate groove diameter.
Position the ring untwisted on clean surfaces and inspect before closure. During maintenance, compare cuts or extruded areas with the surrounding hardware. A thicker replacement may create excessive compression without correcting a damaged groove or unsupported gap. Preserve the intended specification and address the mating feature where needed so the complete joint returns to its designed contact condition.

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
