Product Overview

Custom rubber pipe plugs should be selected for the actual pipe opening and contents. NBR, SBR and EPDM are distinct material families, so each required formulation should remain identified with the corresponding closure geometry and operating conditions.

Develop the retained profile from the finished bore, including its wall thickness relationship and any internal seam near the end. The head and grip should provide the access required by the intended service method. Custom dimensions and color can support that arrangement.

Evaluate the selected plug in the complete pipe-end configuration. A push fit alone does not establish a pressure rating, and the equipment's isolation procedure should govern removal. During replacement, inspect the plug for a changed section and the opening for a damaging edge. If the medium or cleaning method has changed, review the material choice rather than selecting another plug only because it has the same visible diameter as the one previously used.

Material options
EPDM / NBR / SBR compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. The head and grip should provide the access required by the intended service method.
Custom geometry
Develop the retained profile from the finished bore, including its wall thickness relationship and any internal seam near the end.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the selected plug in the complete pipe-end configuration.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

End Cap Size Catalog

Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.

RSE End Caps

43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
