Product Overview

A round rubber gasket provides a ring-shaped interface between compatible mating faces. Its inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness each define a different aspect of fit. The width of rubber between the two diameters should be supported by the joint rather than project unnecessarily into an opening or beyond an outer edge.

Choose the compound for the actual duty. NBR, EPDM, silicone and FKM options should be considered separately according to the fluid, temperature and surrounding environment. The circular outline does not establish that any one of those materials is suitable for every application.

Place the gasket on clean faces and check its position before closing the joint. It should not be stretched around an oversized locating feature or pulled sideways by a fastener. Evaluate sealing in the complete assembly under its intended conditions. During replacement, compare the original profile rather than using only the outside diameter, since a narrower ring or different thickness can alter compression even when the outer edge appears to match.

Material options
EPDM / NBR / FKM / Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. It should not be stretched around an oversized locating feature or pulled sideways by a fastener.
Custom dimensions
The width of rubber between the two diameters should be supported by the joint rather than project unnecessarily into an opening or beyond an outer edge.
Fit & assembly
Place the gasket on clean faces and check its position before closing the joint.
Use & inspection
During replacement, compare the original profile rather than using only the outside diameter, since a narrower ring or different thickness can alter compression even when the outer edge appears to match.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
