A rubber cable sleeve provides a molded protective section around a cable route. With a closed construction, the installation sequence needs attention: the cable end or connector must be able to pass through the intended opening before the surrounding equipment makes that end inaccessible.
Compare the largest item that must pass through the sleeve with the usable internal space. The cable jacket diameter is only one of the relevant measurements. Also consider any locating section at the panel and the length required along the cable after the sleeve reaches its final position.
Custom molding allows the silicone or rubber profile, dimensions and hardness to be developed for that sequence. Fit the sleeve without stretching it over a connector that could cut the inner surface. Once the cable is routed, check that the sleeve has not rolled inward or shifted away from the edge it is intended to protect. Keep the final cable support from pulling the sleeve out of its installed position during later assembly work.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Also consider any locating section at the panel and the length required along the cable after the sleeve reaches its final position. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
