A waterproof rubber silicone grommet should be evaluated at the wire-contact interface as well as at the panel. The cable jacket, bundle shape and routing direction all influence the contact inside the passage, even when the outer retaining edge appears fully seated.
Develop the custom profile with the finished wire configuration and effective panel thickness. Select the material for the exposure and cleaning conditions at that location. The complete assembly needs assessment under its required water conditions rather than a rating inferred from the product description.
Fit the grommet and route the wire to its final support, then inspect for a passage pulled open on one side or a flange lifted from the panel. During servicing, review the fit if the jacket, wrapping or cable route changes. Preserve the selected material and profile in replacement parts so the entry continues to match the configuration that was evaluated, rather than relying only on a similar outside outline.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable jacket, bundle shape and routing direction all influence the contact inside the passage, even when the outer retaining edge appears fully seated. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
