Soft rubber grommets in colored silicone can distinguish cable entries while cushioning the contact at each opening. Color is most useful when a visible portion remains after assembly. Consider the finished cover, cable direction and viewing angle before choosing where the colored surface needs to appear.
The molded geometry and color can be customized for the product. Assign colors to a clear function, such as entry location or model variant, and ensure that the distinction remains understandable where several cables share a panel. Color should supplement the part's dimensional identity rather than replace it.
Softness influences installation and retention, so evaluate the actual compound in the intended wall thickness. A very compliant lip can be easy to insert yet still need sufficient support to resist cable movement. During assembly, check that a colored flange is not folded beneath the enclosure edge. Clean it with a method suitable for the chosen silicone and surrounding finish, and inspect for transferred dirt that could make similar colors difficult to distinguish.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A very compliant lip can be easy to insert yet still need sufficient support to resist cable movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
