Custom rubber cable seals can incorporate a sleeve around the cable and a shaped seat at the housing. The design brings the cable-contact area and mounting interface together in a single molded profile. This allows the part to follow an original equipment layout where a standard ring or tube would not match both features.
The sleeve bore should suit the cable jacket at the intended sealing position. At the other interface, the receiving opening and wall thickness determine the seat. Check the relationship between these areas so the cable can follow its route without bending the seal away from the housing.
Assembly access matters if a connector is larger than the cable passage. Establish the fitting sequence before the wiring is terminated where the design requires it. Once installed, inspect the sleeve and perimeter with the cable supports secured. Any required sealing performance must be evaluated on the completed entry under its operating conditions. Keep the molded edges free of cuts and contamination, and inspect them again whenever the cable arrangement is changed.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. At the other interface, the receiving opening and wall thickness determine the seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
