Product Overview

A custom silicone and rubber keypad can incorporate printed markings that identify functions across the molded key layout. The artwork and physical design should be developed together so each legend remains centered on the intended operating area after the keypad is fitted within its housing.

Custom dimensions, colors and suitable material choices allow the component to follow the panel and contact arrangement. Evaluate the printed appearance on a representative molded sample, particularly where key curvature or a narrow surface changes the available space for text and symbols.

Check the complete interface from its normal operating position. Markings should remain visible beside the bezel and distinguish related controls without crowding neighboring keys. The underlying key movement still needs evaluation with the selected electrical contact system; clear printing does not establish switching performance.

During assembly, align the supporting sheet and inspect operation after final fastening. Use a cleaning method compatible with the selected rubber and ink system. Keep replacement artwork and molded geometry tied to the same interface configuration so a revised legend is not accidentally combined with a keypad intended for different control positions.

Material options
Rubber / Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. The underlying key movement still needs evaluation with the selected electrical contact system; clear printing does not establish switching performance.
Custom dimensions
Custom dimensions, colors and suitable material choices allow the component to follow the panel and contact arrangement.
Fit & assembly
During assembly, align the supporting sheet and inspect operation after final fastening.
Use & inspection
Keep replacement artwork and molded geometry tied to the same interface configuration so a revised legend is not accidentally combined with a keypad intended for different control positions.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
