Product Overview

Custom Rubber Crutch Tips form the contact component at the lower end of a crutch shaft. The internal socket, seating depth and base geometry need to work with that shaft as a complete assembly. A tip that looks similar from the outside can still be unsuitable if its bore does not retain the shaft correctly.

ETOL offers custom dimensions, rubber materials, hardness and colors. For replacement or product development, compare the finished shaft end with the intended socket, including any internal feature that controls insertion. Keep the end free of burrs and residue so it seats without cutting the rubber or stopping short.

The base should meet the supporting surface as intended when the assembled crutch is in its normal position. Evaluate the complete crutch with the selected tip; appearance and rubber firmness alone do not establish support capacity or traction on a particular floor. Use the replacement configuration appropriate to the crutch design.

Before use, inspect for incomplete seating, a split sidewall or wear through the contact face. Remove grit that could remain trapped beneath the tip, and replace a damaged component rather than turning the damaged area away from view. A tip that loosens or changes shape needs attention before the crutch is used again.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Evaluate the complete crutch with the selected tip; appearance and rubber firmness alone do not establish support capacity or traction on a particular floor.

Evaluate the sample

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly

04

Produce & inspect

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements

Review the intended assembly

Working conditions

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.

Material and structure

Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.

Installation

Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
