A custom rubber oil seal should be developed around the actual liquid and joint in which it will operate. If the application also involves food contact, the finished compound must satisfy that intended contact rather than relying on a general silicone or FDA label. Geometry and material selection need to address both requirements together.
Identify the seal's working surfaces, the contact duration and the operating temperature. Different oils and cleaning substances can create different conditions for the rubber. Choose the section and outline around the mating joint, keeping the seal supported where compression is applied. A cut or molded gasket form can be developed for the selected location.
Evaluate the completed joint using the intended compound and service conditions. During fitting, keep the contact surfaces clean and avoid stretching the seal to align an opening. After removal, inspect for swelling, surface damage or a permanent change in the section. Replace an affected part only after reviewing the fluid exposure and seating geometry. If the process liquid changes, reassess the material even when the existing seal dimensions still fit the equipment.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
