A flat sealing ring gasket relies on even contact across its working faces. In a silicone waterproofing arrangement, a small folded edge or trapped particle can interrupt that contact even when the rest of the ring looks compressed. The housing and gasket should be evaluated together under the intended water exposure.
The inner and outer dimensions, thickness and material formulation can be customized. Choose a ring that stays supported during closure rather than one that must be stretched across the joint. If the housing closes with a sliding or turning motion, assess whether that movement drags the gasket from its seat.
Before assembly, inspect both faces of the ring and clean the mating surfaces. Check the perimeter after closure for uneven projection, then assess the finished joint using representative operating conditions. During maintenance, look for a repeated crease or extrusion mark in the same location. That may point to a local housing gap or closing sequence issue. Replacing the ring alone is unlikely to address an unchanged cause of folding.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
