A custom silicone keypad can be developed for an existing electronic enclosure when the original interface needs replacement or a revised feel. The housing's locating points are a useful starting reference. They determine where the rubber sits, which may not be obvious from the visible button layout alone.
Check the tabs, posts or perimeter features that position the keypad. A worn sample may have stretched between them, so compare it with the enclosure rather than copying that distortion into the new geometry. Confirm the key openings and the board position before judging the required resting height.
ETOL offers changes to structure, dimensions, color and hardness for compatible designs. Sample evaluation should include the housing fastened normally, because a loose fit trial can hide interference at a locating rib or corner.
After fitting, press keys near the perimeter as well as in the center and watch for sideways rubbing. Keep the underside free of particles while opening the enclosure for service. A replacement should sit without being stretched into alignment; if force is needed to reach every locating point, review the geometry before continuing assembly.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. After fitting, press keys near the perimeter as well as in the center and watch for sideways rubbing. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
