Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom silicone colored covers finish openings with a visible rubber part tailored to the surrounding product. A contrasting color can help users find the closure and notice if it has been left out, while a matching color can create a more discreet appearance. The color choice should accompany a clearly defined fitted position.
For an inserted version, the body needs to engage the hole correctly; for a covering version, the inside profile needs to follow the feature beneath it. Establish the stopping surface and leave the intended removal area accessible. A head that appears flush should not conceal a folded edge or incomplete engagement behind the visible face.
Where the opening encounters water, assess the complete installed interface under the required conditions. Select the silicone formulation for the actual environment and cleaning process. Before refitting a removed cover, inspect the less visible contact surfaces for grit or damage. Keep color identification consistent with the closure's dimensions and material so that replacement restores the same configuration rather than just the same outward appearance.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A head that appears flush should not conceal a folded edge or incomplete engagement behind the visible face. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
