A silicone rubber small plug can be customized for a compact opening in a food related component. The finished silicone formulation should suit the contents and the way the part is cleaned. Size and color can follow the product design, while the body profile establishes where the rubber contacts the opening.
Cleaning access is especially relevant to a removable small closure. Consider which surfaces become exposed when the plug is taken out and whether a recess in the surrounding component can retain residue. The exposed end should be manageable without touching or damaging the region that returns inside the opening.
Fit the clean plug with an even movement and inspect its position before returning the item to use. Keep it identified with the matching component during washing so a similar plug is not substituted. After repeated handling, look for a nick at the insertion edge or a body that has stretched out of shape. Use a compatible cleaning method rather than scraping residue away with a pointed implement that could mark the silicone.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Size and color can follow the product design, while the body profile establishes where the rubber contacts the opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
