A silicone damper provides a compliant element within a mounting or contact arrangement. Choosing between sizes involves the space needed for working movement as well as the external dimensions that fit the assembly. A larger part may occupy the available cavity while leaving too little clearance for deformation.
Define the resting position and the motion expected during use. The body should work through that range without being trapped between surrounding faces or stretched by misaligned attachments. Material formulation and geometry influence the response, so two parts of different dimensions should not be assumed to behave alike merely because both use silicone.
Evaluate the component in the complete device, including transitions such as starting or stopping where relevant. A generic damper description does not establish a specific isolation level or impact capacity. During replacement, preserve the intended attachment spacing and check the resulting clearance. Inspect the rubber for permanent distortion after service, since a part that still occupies its mounting space may no longer maintain its original resting shape.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A silicone damper provides a compliant element within a mounting or contact arrangement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
